The first step in learning to love starts with self-love. When we get caught up in loving possessions over humans we are resorting to childish pleasures by believing possessions proves superiority; buying while seeking to win attention through display of wealth.  Huge price tags demand notice and allows owner to temporarily grow in statue.  Yet acquisition not at another’s expense nor for non-rational reasoning shows desire for mutual harmony, happiness, and fulfillment.  Things can’t satisfy loneliness, therefore, seeking compatibility between love of things and love of others should yield greater satisfaction in life.

Opinion Myths

When my self-respect depends on opinions of others, I am a slave to the myth. I will love self whether I sink or swim. I am proud of me due to my courage to go for it. The audience out there don’t measure my failure or my success, I do. Therefore, the only person I’m trying to impress is me. Waiting for respect from others is ridiculous. I play ultimately to audience of me and when I lose myself in the effort I know that I’m on the right track. Being aware that some days will be hard is okay because life without struggle is not reality. I term my success on courageously living each day to the max while being true to me.

Gone

When I allow others to control my life my future is in their hands. The past will not manage me because I live in the present.

Joy ride

Due to ups and downs of this life I’m living brings me to the belief that it is not intended to be solely a joy ride and physical or material abundance but one of learning through experience and talent. I have no desire to merely believe in the familiar but also what’s beyond understanding but observable.

Thought eliminator

Conscious thought teaches us to establish habits either good or bad. Therefore if life is not moving in direction of our preferences it is incumbent upon us to change routine thought patterns.

Researchers suggest it takes seven repetitions of new patterns of thought to eliminate outdated thought processing. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
